The holding of the group is supporting various infrastructure development activities. We are also supporting the development of Education Centre. Long-term goals are the focus of our CSR activities.
Engaging with the surrounding communities, DNPI has been providing clean water and school facilities every year. As the communities’ welfare increased, DNPI has switched focus of its CSR activities to tree planting, which helps to mitigate flooding risks in the neighbouring areas of the production facilities, not only in Karawang, West Java, but also in Pulo gadung, Jakarta, which hosts our older production facilities. Furthermore, DNPI maintains traditional CSR activities such as yearly donations for the Ied sacrifies.
Throughout its long-standing relation with the people of Indonesia, we have developed our CSR activities around three pillars, namely: Supporting the next generation. Living in harmony with surrounding communities. Environmental conservation.
Beyond sharing environmental best practices with industry and community peers, ASC feels obligated to contribute to society through various activities. Addressing a number of social challenges through long-term programs where the company utilizes its professional knowledge and experience, ASC support small to medium enterprises and provides scholarships for education related to chemicals and safety.
Knowing that clean water is one of the bases to develop healthy communities, we have developed a clean water distribution system for the people of Tambun in the surrounding of our factory. The field deep-well pumps used in the company’s production have been connected with 1/4-inch pipes that channel some 30m3 of water per day to the factory’s north-east and the north-west communities. The distribution system is equipped with flow meters, so that people can measure their clean water consumption.
KAO Group has been conducting Children International Painting Contest for the 4th time. The contest is a yearly event to encourage the children all over the world to increase their awareness in preserving the environment, so one day they would think and actively act to protect their surrounding environment.
